Brooklyn Storytellers
We support the development of emerging artists in two important ways: through our Spotlight Series and our monthly playwriting group, Playwrights in Process (PIP).

Final Playwrights in Process (PIP) of the Season!

Join us for an evening of bold new work and conversation as we present readings from two exciting plays:
Creek’s Edge by Patti Veconi (part of June’s Rewind Festival)
Set in rural Pennsylvania, 1971–72, Creek’s Edge is a raw and lyrical family drama about mental illness, economic survival, and the cost of silence. When a struggling war veteran invests in a mechanical grape harvester, the fragile balance of his family begins to unravel—forcing his wife and children to confront grief, legacy, and the meaning of home.
Robin of Greenwood by Jessica Phillips Lorenz (premiering this July in our education program)
A fresh, funny, and fierce reimagining of the Robin Hood legend. With King Richard away, Prince John tightens his grip—until Lady Marian, Robin Hood, and a merry band of rebels rise up in defense of justice, love, and the common folk. A thrilling tale of resistance, wit, and courage set in 1194 England.
We’ll also take time to reflect on this year’s PIP series and share ideas for next season.
Come read, listen, and be part of the process!
